Transfer, PA Transfer, PA Full-time Full-time $134,900 - $202,400 a year $134,900 - $202,400 a year Summary This key executive level position is responsible for managing, planning, directing, organizing, and developing the US manufacturing capabilities and executing its strategic plan for manufacturing excellence.
Essential Functions Environmental/Safety/ Health Assures site compliance with all established Division and Corporate policies, procedures, and governmental regulations pertaining to plant safety and environmental issues.
Oversees timely notification and RCCA responses on all safety incidents (near misses, first aids, OSHA recordables) to ensure the safety of the work force and continuous improvement in safety statistics.
Is knowledgeable of Division and Corporate 6S standards.
Drives improvements leading to the continuous improvement in site 6S scores and attainment of Division 6S objectives.
Operations/Maintenance/ Quality Assurance/Metallurgy Management Develops operations plans (monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets) including throughput and variable spending targets.
Oversees all aspects of operations and maintenance, providing direction, resolving problems, and setting deadlines to assure that all company manufacturing objectives are met.
Monitors daily manufacturing performance and develops cost and throughput recovery plans as required.
Drives continuous improvement in variable cost performance, maintaining a project pipeline to support near and longer-term cost improvements.
Identifies manufacturing employment levels and scheduling requirements.
Collaborates with Human Resources to execute the plans.
Provides guidance to operations and metallurgy related to process improvement and new product introduction.
Manages change in all aspects of the business including manufacturing routes, equipment performance, and processes inputs to evaluate and mitigate the risk of negative unintended consequences.
Oversees activities of Metallurgy and Quality to drive internal yield improvements and optimize value of scrap reclamation.
Drives quality improvements through traditional Quality Assurance/Quality Control activities, audits, and root cause analysis.
Manages activities related to quality escapes, including timely management notification and oversight of RCCA investigations.
Oversees purchasing and logistics functions.
Sales Management Oversees the development and execution of sales plans (monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets).
Establishes relationships with key external (non-PCC) customers.
Understands key market drivers of external (non-PCC) customers.
Identifies sales growth opportunities and coordinates activities of all related support groups including operations, metallurgy, and quality.
Oversees sales team efforts to ensure timely collection of AR balances.
P&L, Fixed Capital, and OWC Management Reviews financial reports to assure plant operations and sales are driving to meet company profitability and operating working capital objectives.
Identifies, analyzes, and plans for fixed capital needs and completes capital request submissions in accordance with corporate requirements.
Manages purchasing activities and production levels to achieve OWC objectives.
General Makes presentations, conducts meetings, and communicates with all levels of the corporation pertaining to plant level performance.
Performs all aspects of the position according to the PCC Code of Conduct and Sox guidelines.
Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in a related field of study (Engineering, Material Science, Manufacturing Management) or equivalent management, technical experience in a like industry such as powdered or revert metals, steel or investment casting.
Ten years' experience in progressively responsible manufacturing positions is required; previous experience managing and mentoring direct reports required.
