Accounting Supervisor - Greenville Metals, Transfer, PA
The PCC Revert Group is comprised by two entities: Greenville Metals, Inc. and Caledonian Alloys, Inc. and each is ISO certified.
Greenville Metals is a unique metallurgical resource in the management of nickel and cobalt base super-alloys. The company transforms revert, through many techniques including electric arc furnace, AOD, and induction furnaces, into forms including ingots, pigs, and shot. Greenville Metals provides customers with a range of tailored revert management services designed to enable them to optimize the use and value of their own revert material.
The company is also in the business of powder manufacturing for the automotive industry utilizing various crushing, grinding and sizing equipment.
Greenville Metals' has a Mult Conditioning Center on site to prepare nickel and cobalt base super-alloy for the aerospace industries. The company prepares billets for high pressure forging and machining processes.
SUMMARY
The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing accounts receivable and accounts payable, intercompany transactions for multiple companies, tracking material in transit and assisting with monthly closing functions of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supervise accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
Complete intercompany accounting reporting and balancing for multiple entities.
Liaison with intercompany counterparts and commercial team to resolve issues.
Analyze material in transit and research for discrepancies.
Lead areas of responsibility to ensure full SOX compliance.
Assist finance team with the facilitation of the Sarbanes Oxley program.
Complete and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting.
Analyze financial results.
Forecast AR and AP.
Month end review and reconciliation of payroll.
Special projects, implementations and report preparation as needed.
Assist with managing month end closing, journal entry preparation and general ledger account analysis to ensure target of Division deadlines.
Proactively research and document conclusions on accounting issues.
Work towards process improvements on automation and streamlining of the existing procedures with the goal of implementing "best practices" to support deadlines.
Interface with auditors for audit requirements as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and minimum of 5 years accounting experience; MBA or CPA preferred.
Prior Supervisor experience preferred.
Experience with multi-site manufacturing accounting a plus.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Leadership, management and strategic thinking.
Prior intercompany experience preferred.
Great Plains ERP system favorable.
Working knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley.
COMPETENCIES

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
