Accounting Specialist - Greenville Metals, Transfer, PA
The PCC Revert Group is comprised by three entities: Greenville Metals, Inc., SOS Metals, Inc. and Caledonian Alloys, Inc. and each is ISO certified. Greenville Metals is a unique metallurgical resource in the management of nickel and cobalt base super-alloys. The company transforms revert, through many techniques including electric arc furnace, AOD, and induction furnaces, into forms including ingots, pigs, and shot. Greenville Metals provides customers with a range of tailored revert management services designed to enable them to optimize the use and value of their own revert material.
The company is also in the business of powder manufacturing for the automotive industry utilizing various crushing, grinding and sizing equipment.
SUMMARY
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and assisting with monthly closing functions of the organization.
Essential Functions
Daily invoicing, including updating sales by customer files, write offs, debit and credit memos.
Revenue Recognition activities at month and quarter end.
Adhere to all SOX requirements to ensure full SOX compliance.
Process vendor invoices daily within ERP system.
Prepare and process weekly check runs.
Track sales taxes due.
Set-up and monitor vendor ACH options.
Track vendor consignment usage.
Track unrecorded liabilities at month and quarter end.
Track/maintain nonstandard terms for AP and AR
Process 1099's and 1096 state filings.
Perform monthly reconciliations.
Track AR receivables.
Assist with month end closing, journal entry preparation and general ledger account analysis to ensure target Division deadlines.
Liaison with auditors including internal, external and SOX audits.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Associate's Degree or higher in Accounting or related field.
A minimum of four years experience in an Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or finance role.
Metals industry experience preferred.
Able to work independently with moderate supervision.
Special Skills
Glovia, Great Plains ERP and banking systems favorable.
Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley favorable.
Competencies
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
Excellent organization, problem solving and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and complete projects effectively.
Ability to work with moderate supervision.
Ability to meet strict deadlines.
Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as business requires.
Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization.
Performs all aspects of the position according to the company Code of Ethics and SOX guidelines.

Must be able to frequently remain in a stationary position with repetitive hand motions. Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer, copy machine, calculator and computer printer.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
